This is the method I use. I have found it to fail without fail.
This has nothing to do with the fact that it is National ‘Do your tax form’ Week.

This is today’s Advent calendar image. I forgot to post it as I was so caught up in posting about the news of the day.
I make lists, but usually I get so overwhelmed by item one, which is invariably ‘Tidy office’, that I get disillusioned and give up on the rest.
For more cartoons about my shambolic general state see the ‘my failings‘ category on We Blog Cartoons.

This procrastination cartoon is available for free repostage on your blog at We Blog Cartoons. I’ll add it to the ‘downloads’ section at Cartoonchurch.com if anyone would like me to.
Right, no more procrastination or internet surfing for me today. I’ve got work to do. No time to tell you about the remarkable and unexplained revival in fortunes of Wibsite.com in the UK Christian websites chart. No time to redirect you to Steve Tilley’s post about human evolution. No time to pontificate upon whether the Anglicans are on the brink of schism, the brink of the brink of schism, or the brink of the brink of the brink of schism.
No, not me. I’ve got cartoons to draw. By the way, if anyone has ideas for cartoon subjects for my ‘Guide to the Church’ series that I haven’t yet covered then all sugestions made in the comments will be tremendously welcomed. If you can suggest a funny angle to the subject in question then that’s even better.
Not that I’ll be reading my blog comments today. Oh no, I’ve got work to do.

This is neither new nor a particularly worthwhile way to spend your time. But it keeps me amused for hours a good 5 or 10 minutes.
The Bus Selecta.
There’s even more fun to be had with the Bug Selecta and one or two others.

Make Comics Forever is a blog and self help group for procrastinating cartoonists. Unfortunately my main procrastination activity when I should be drawing is reading blogs, so this may or may not be a help to this particular self.
Ideas generation is really my main problem these days rather than your regular plain old straightforward common or garden procrastination. I do find I spend a lot of time sitting around with half-baked ideas. I tend to like an idea to be at least three quarters-baked before I will start on it. A two thirds-baked idea might occasionally be worth starting on if it is a very good one.
On an unrelated subject Steve’s blog has continued to be very good value all this week. I have received useful instruction on what to wear each day as well as some most thought provoking reflections on ‘tea’.

If you have a bit of weekend time to idle away why not have a play on Typedrawing.

I’m sure there must be a really really useful design application for this, but I can’t think what it is.
