Door cartoon

doors cartoon

Door cartoon. Cartoon about doors. Not much more I can add in terms of a description. This is a new drawing that I have just done that has not appeared anywhere else. You are the first to see it, except for CW who described it as ‘strange’.

Progress update: Today has been and continues to be a drawing day. I am working on two important diagrams. One is ready to be inked and on the other one I am still battling with the layout.

Question for groups: Shall we have some tea now?

  1. Andy says:

If the door was upside down , would we have to walk on our hands? Are doors on the other side of the world upside down?

  2. Helen the Snowy Owl says:

I want to clamber through a diagonal door!

This group of one agrees that tea it’s important and should be drunk *now* (but make it a herbal one please at this tome of night?)

  3. David says:

Presumably an alternative door won’t tidy its room either and wears lots of black clothes because ‘That’s who I am!’ *storms out of the room*

  4. Russ says:

There’s a well known quote about doors, from which The Doors took their name. Which I’ve forgotten. Not much help really.

  5. Ann says:

Oddly enough, I saw two men unload a door from the back of a lorry and carry it up the road on my way to work this morning. Deja vu.

Thanks for the reminder about tea – I’ll go and make myself some.

    another adoorable cartoon!

I would rather be a door-keeper in the house of the Lord than dwell in a tent at greenbelt?

  7. Liz from the sewing room says:

This is an interesting concept Dave – perhaps one Fresh Expressions types could take up; Doory Church, alongside Cafe Church and Messy Church. But would need to make sure the tea and cake at Doory Church didnt taste of sawdust.

Chris, I wonder is there tea in the house of the Lord? I would rather be most places than in a tent anywhere at all!

  8. Miffy/Greenpatches says:

It’s never too late for a Nice Cup of Tea.

Must admit, when I read the title of this post I took it to mean that you’d got a slot in our diocesan newspaper. They are very keen on Doors. Might they have an opening [pun not intended!]

Chris, I quite like dwelling in a tent at Greenbelt, although the dodgy zip sometimes needs judicious application of soap for me to be able to get in and out.

  9. Ann says:

Tea — yes please and a scone?

  10. Deacon Susan says:

9:30 a.m. here at the library and have been at work for an hour, so it’s definitely Time for a Cuppa. Front doors here are very strange. Heavy glass, sliding doors. They stick shut and people push on them, eager to get into the library. Takes ages for the cleaning lady to get the handprints off. I think I will have the teenagers do art on them.

  11. Sara from the Library says:

Are any of them alarmed by their alternativeness?

  12. Liz's puppy says:

My church has alternate sliding doors… first the left side isn’t working, then the right side isn’t working, then the left side isn’t working… Maybe I could take your suggestions to pcc.

  13. Liz's puppy says:

Oh, alternative… sigh, reasons why I don’t post.
