Beating the crowds

beating the crowds

It is time for a few more cartoons to be added to the site I think – this one is the first of five from The Exciting World of Churchgoing, and then perhaps I will post some from Peculiar Goings On.

You can find the high resolution version of this cartoon here: Beating the crowds. If you’d like to use it in your church magazine then I offer a very reasonable licence scheme that enables you to do just that.

Sounds funny, but it’s true at Christmas. Why do you think I joined the choir? Guaranteed seat in the choir stalls at the 9 Lessons and Carols AND at Midnight Mass! ;)

  2. Ann says:

When the five stalwarts who attend the 8am communion arrive, won’t they get mobbed as queuejumpers?

  3. chris clark says:

Reminds me of David Frost joke…notice outside church…”come to church this Sunday..avoid the Christmas rush”

  4. Liz from the sewing room says:

At my church it isn’t arriving early to get a seat which is needed, it is arriving early to get a parking space on the church car park. Regarding seats, I am afraid most people sit in the same seats week in/week out.

  5. alison says:

Our vicar would faint if we had a queue that long by 10 am. (With joy, that is, such a thing only happens in their dreams…..)
