Drawing in progress

IMG_2633

This has been a deadline week, so blog posting has had to not be top priority. This picture (larger version), taken this morning, is what my life looks like on a home-based drawing day. Thrilling, as you can see.

Points of interest:

Tomorrow will be a lighter drawing day, just an hour or two, and then it will be all go on Sunday to get everything inked-in, scanned, and edited.

I love how a cat can look 100% interested but totally relaxed at the same time. Whenever I work at home my cats try and lie on top of what I’m working on so can be a tad distracting

  5. Dave says:

The photo was taken at a moment cats were being especially ‘helpful’. I do have to work quite hard to stop them walking / sitting on drawings, but usually eventually they go to sleep somewhere in the room and let me get on with it.

  6. Polly says:

My grandpa used to say, “It’s a poor job that doesn’t require at least one supervisor.” And you have two!

  7. alison says:

You appear to have my cats – give ‘em back!

Easy peel satsumas I see. Glad to see that the sessions at Kit Kat anonymous are still working.

The lamp looks like one that might be used in one of those stop frame animations

I believe Pixar are looking for it, as we speak

  10. Dave says:

The lamp was from Debenhams. It is quite new. The idea was to have a lamp for drawing in the living room that looked not too officelike, and I think this one does a good job.
