Cards, calendars, grandiose projects, etc

orange juice

A few items of news:

Cards
My greetings cards are now available from Church House Bookshop and can be found on their page of my various things. This means that after a couple of years of them not being available they are now once again available. There are five designs that can be bought – the sixth (‘My life in segments’) has now more or less run out owing to the plumbing incident of 2006. The ‘orange juice’ design (above) will be the last to sell out.

Calendars
The 2012 calendar can now be bought with a special 2 for £12 offer. This is ideal for people with a friend, or those who are likely to lose their calendar through spilt tea / negligence / weakness / own deliberate fault.

Grandiose project report
1 Some small progress made, not completed
2 Some small progress made, not completed
3 Some small progress made, not completed
4 No progress made whatsoever
5 Some small progress made, not completed

Other news (vague)
It is likely that I will be doing rather less cartooning (were such a thing possible) in the coming months owing to various developments. I have no immediate plans to stop any of the regular cartoons I do, but I’ll be spending more time in London doing other things and less time at home trying to be a cartoonist and undertake grandiose projects.

Thank you for reminding me that as I am packing up the Christmas stuff for my daughter I need to find where I hid your calendar when I bought it ages ago and include this in the package. Of course, this means I bought them at a higher price. I miss your cartoons when they dont arrive in my inbox. I dont read Church Times because I am a Methodist. But dont read their paper either.

I can’t imagine anybody losing a calendar through their own deliberate fault and such an action would almost certainly need the absolution of a Bisho. Priests would only be able to absolve weakness and spilt tea, negligence would be so rare in this case that it can safely be ignored

Liz – the offer is also aimed at people who bought the calendar, hid it, and then can’t find it or forget they bought it. Thank you for your kind words.

Chris – there is quite a lot of negligent tea-drinking around these days, and a reasonable proportion of calendars are ruined because of it. By the way, is ‘Bisho’ a way to address a bishop with whom one feels one can be really quite familiar? Many blogging bishops fall into this category I am sure.

Just to let you know that I had an email from Canterbury Press (I’m on their list for some reason) that was entirely devoted to your books/ calendar. Someone in their marketing dept must be thinking of your products as ideal Christmas gifts!
