Phew – as above – just glad to hear it’s a physical move rather than a goodbye. It’s always productive to spend time with other creative people but they do say that ‘moving’ is one of the major stressors so don’t forget to breathe.

It is easy enough to commute from Basildon, I am sure the train journey will increase the content of your observations alone.

I did wonder if the 19yr old hacker was one of my babies and was not sure whether to be proud or not. I often wonder what the future holds for that precious offspring I helped into the world of Essex. Indeed would Moo have sung at Chelmsford Cathedral instead of Ripon? I which case were patent black shoes worn under the surplus?

I guess to put it bluntly, only God knows where we end up, and then how we are used. All the best for your move and your creative juices. Still feel ‘men only’ groups can offer some material.

You are welcome to spend a day at our offices – although whether sitting amongst accountants would help or hinder your creative juices is for you to decide.

Its a bit if a trek from Basildon to leafy Oxfordshire, can’t speak for the quality of the coffee but the tea’s great!

Maybe, as an extension of the idea to inhabit the CT office for an extra day a week, you could occasionally install yourself for a day in other fine offices where you would not be alone. Cartoonist in residence for the day, or the Cartoon Church tour. I am strongly of the opinion that this could either work really well or really badly. Also, the coffee might be very good or very bad.

I too noticed the upside down box – but assumed it had been placed upside down on purpose. If you look closely you will see that the bottom (top) is not sealed and therefore I suspect it is empty…
Of course it could be sealed (badly) in which case I would urge caution in picking it up.
Might be interested in a desk – can you send a picture and dimensions?

I suppose it would be churlish to point out the box is upside down? Perhaps if you stood on your head more you would find it easier..or is there something in there that is fargile and needs to be inverted?

I *don’t mind* your leaving CartoonChurch HQ as long as your work continues, but would really feel bereft – together with your other fans – if you abandoned either cartoons or blog. But if you have concluded you need the stimulus of company to come up with creative ideas, you would be in good historic company….(eg Impressionists and all the ‘school of’ writers)
