7 things that worry me about getting my vehicle turfed

We will turf your vehicle

1) Mowing. It all costs money.
2) Safety, especially in heavily grassed neighbourhoods.
3) Watering concerns. Screen-wash can’t be good for it. And who will water it when we’re away?
4) Animals and the things they do on lawns.
5) Keeping the edges trimmed. I’ve never been good with those lawn-edge-trimming shears. Over-zealous use means lawn gets smaller and smaller until there’s nothing left.
6) Dealing appropriately with requests for sporting fixtures.
7) Mockery.

I am gobsmacked. Do people really do that. There are children starving in the third world, and they spend money on putting turfing their vehicles. I may have to change my name to “Gobsmacked from the sewing room”. Although I have too much admin to sew, which makes me tetchy at the best of times.

Thinking about grassy vehicles needing mowing though, if the idea were to catch on (surely not) someone could make a small fortune by invented a machine a bit like a car wash only with lawn mower blades on it.

The world has definitely gone mad

I was considering having it done but I heard of someone who parked on a cricket pitch and has been unable to find his vehicle since.

Is this the ultimate green technology?

Perhaps this is a disguise so that people can park their cars on lawns and other green areas without people noticing. Though, I have seen a mini by the old longbridge plant though that is covered with bright red flowers rather than being turfed.
