  1. John Oliver says:

The Bradwell pilgrimage, much missed by those of us who used to be in Chelmsford. As for a noggin with Bishop Laurie, well….

  2. Christian Beasley says:

At Brighstone on the Isle of Wight there’s a pub called the ‘Three Bishops’. Not sure if they were all there at the same time.

  3. Beatrice says:

A few pilgrims are giving him a curious look, but the rest seem preoccupied. His posture is really interesting, and he almost looks like Brother Cadfael dressed in a bishop’s cassock sitting there. Perhaps he’s muttering “I’m invisible, I’m invisible”…

  4. David Keen says:

What this picture doesn’t show is the 8 vicars hiding on the other side of the pub porch with their G&T’s, muttering ‘has that bishop gone yet?’

  5. Sarah says:

I’ve had a meal in that pub!
And with regard to your previous entry of Whose Car? I’m now going for Bishop Laurie…
