Being on the digg website

Some people told me that one of my diagrams was on the front page of the digg website over the weekend. Here is a link to the page about it: Link to the page about it.

The comments are not very kind as you can see. I was wondering where the unkind people gather – perhaps it is on the digg website.

I clicked on the digg link; I found it annoying and the commenters annoying. I found your list so profound I posted it this morning on my (non-digital-but very concrete-world) office door at church this morning (paper attached with a pushpin).

I liked your diagram so much i nearly tweeted it.

Digg people can’t handle the truth.

  3. Dash says:

Don’t mind the Digg commenters. They are mostly trolls, and not worth bothering about for all their smug whining. Forget them. You rock, Dave!

  4. Caroline says:

Aaah – bless ‘em. They can’t do subtlety. I expect they can’t laugh at themselves and find humour in everyday life either.

    We’d best pray for them.

  5. gilly says:

well i guess some sites one bookmarks….
    and some one doesn’t………!

  6. joe says:

It must be the stupidest thing in the world to digg something you don’t like (and/or waste time commenting on it). Unlike twitter of course, where I never post links to stupid stuff.

Ho hum, hoisted by my own whatsername.

    I hope you don’t mind…
I really liked the diagram and that’s why I submitted it on Digg. In my opinion 500+ diggs point out that it was good one.. so who cares about comments.

  8. Dave says:

Thanks guhpol – I assumed that the original submitter must have enjoyed it, so no criticism of you is intended by my comments.

  9. Liz says:

I ENJOY your cartoons and your blogs! I was curious to see what were the similarities of the individuals who responded negatively on Digg. The negative comments were by “Generation Y’s” (1979-1995), and “Millennials” (1982-2001). And corporations are paying consultants to help them deal with them as employees. So I’ll just bless their little cotton socks and grit my teeth.

By the way, Dave, this is not your first comix that hit the front page of Digg(with a bit of my help).. the first one was several months ago, here it is: http://digg.com/comics_animation/How_to_tie_a_tie_34

    Dave,

I’m sure it must be sensible for the web to provide a corral for cretins to get together and wallow in their ignorance.

  12. Allan says:

Yeah, I stopped using Digg because I got sick of the comments from the membership.

  13. TimT says:

    I facebooked it. Diggnorant Diggnoramuses!

  14. jody says:

i just found it amusing that the commenters were commenting on something they thought was rubbish, which was a cartoon about having rubbish thoughts and what to do with them.

    had me smiling anyway.

    :-)
