I have several bags of sweepings I am currently fashioning into a piece for the Tate Modern:

Stupid Ideas That Will Never Work
Mystery Phone Numbers on Yellow Post-Its
Scrap paper that I Forget I Have
Pens That Don't Work That I Strangely Haven't Thrown Away

I expect it be ground-breaking, genre-busting and anything else hyphenated that comes to mind. I'm also thinking of slicing Damien Hirst in half and suspending him in formaldehyde, but apparently it's been done.

I'd be happy to contribute sharp pins, lots of seed beads, the occasional bigger bead, tons of Beagle hair, and a large assortment of colorful thread ends. When I saw the original advertisement quoted here, my first thought was, "Gee, I should buy a bag and use it to make steampunk jewelry..."

It's an idea about rubbish. That doesn't necessarily make it a rubbish idea. I can offer a dud AA battery, a pile of discarded tax return reminder forms, numerous toenail clippings, dead printer cartridges strewn under the desk awaiting recycling, a black shirt button, and a small piece of paper with the reference number written on it, 6W6237K6, which means nothing to me but may, perhaps, to someone else.
