Holiday photograph 2

im dave and i work for the railways

Another sign from the National Railway Museum. There’s not really anything funny about it, but I must admit that it has brought me mild joy during idle moments. The rest of the notice has been blanked out because I felt it didn’t really add anything to the first few sentences.

I thought you were a cartoonist, not a train driver. Though I am certain that at one point in your life you wanted to be a train driver.

I’m not a train driver either.

  2. Steve says:

Actually, I’m less curious about Dave the Horse’s connection to the railways, as I am about how he managed to type that notice…

  3. Aaron says:

Well, it doesn’t say that he drives the train, just that he works for the railways. Perhaps our Dave has become the cartoonist to the rail companies, just as he was to Lambeth?

  4. Chris Clark says:

Ok so you have been moonlighting and felt a little groggy in the throat…er horse…and in your retiring way decided to tell people at the museum….all pubicity is good publicity..

  5. Jackie says:

I know a train driver called Dave. I didn’t know he was into horses though.
