I'm caught between two stools. I don't agree that Bishop Robinson should not be invited to Lambeth as he was voted into his position by the majority of the Episcopalian church in America. But neither do I agree with the situation where those who disagree with +Robinson are having to leave the American Episcopalian Church. If we put aside the homosexuality issue then we still have an unrepentant adulterer as a Bishop, should someone in this state be a diocesan bishop? As to born that way, I disagree having read the scientific evidence not just the headlines, but that is not the issue. The issue is the mess that has been made and how we are going to get out of it.

Is John Shelby Spong invited to Lambeth?

If so, I think maybe he and Bishop Robinson should trade name tags, cause I think it makes more sense to not invite Spong for some of the rather unorthodox things he has said (visualize my eyes rolling) then to not invite +Robinson because he is being honest about how God made him. (If +Robinson was still in the closet, then the fact that that would be lying wouldn't bother the sender of invites??? Do we really want to send a message that honesty isn't the best policy???)
