		<description>Re  the vote on chocolates, I&#039;m informed that Bp Richard (London) and Bp Graham (Carlisle) both did the decent thing and did actually buy their Synod reps the sweets...........but can they  eat them  before the end of Lent?</description>

		<description>Seems to me (though I&#039;m not a synod person) that it might be more appropriate and certainly much more fun if votes were made  not electronically but by participants moving their heads in slight motions every so often.</description>

		<description>The General Convention of the Episcopal Church in the US has used electronic voting for a long time.  In the beginning when they give all 800 or so people the machines they ask us all to push the green (yes) button to see if they are all working.  Invariably several people push the red (no) button.  This is then repeated several times always with the same result.  This explains much about the universe.</description>
