A queen as churchwarden? Tut tut, young David - I thought you were trying to calm us all down, not trying to get everybody all worked up again.

  2. jody says:

    utter brilliance

  3. Chris Clark says:

    Truly, truly brilliant…

Thoughts of black bishops and vicars etc. come to mind!

  4. Jared Cramer says:

this is seriously one of my favorite of all of your cartoons.

i’m a student at the School of Theology in Sewanee, TN. i went ahead and e-mailed it (with a link to your site) to all the faculty and seminarians).

  5. Lesley_Redd says:

    These are very good.

  6. Phelim McIntyre says:

What piece are us lowly non-Ordained or Church Warden pcc members? But seriously this is superb and needs to be in next year’s calender, in your next book, in the Church Times, grafittied on the wall of Church House (or Lambeth Palace) Banksey style …… How close are we to having enough cartoons for a cartoon a day?

  7. webweaver.pttw says:

A Dave Walker Cartoon a Day Calendar would be a cool idea for 2009. Especially post-Lambeth.

  8. Lydia says:

This is a lovely cartoon. Someone once said “In life, as in chess, bishops move obliquely.”

  9. Matt W says:

You’ve missed out all the pieces that come in at weird angles off the wall or from left-field.
