I am not user about the idiot, I think he might have realised that the tree should be covered up until Christmas Eve :-)

    Hey Dave,

I’ve just stumbled across your blog and haven’t stopped laughing yet – that’s good by the way!

    Cheers – Andy

Dave, perhaps idiot is a bit pejorative? It could simply be “over-creative”, or “artist” or “competition entry”. It does seem to be “not very good at wallpapering”, but I can’t think it’s easy to wallpaper a tree!

Blessings to you, I visit every day for a smile.

  4. Anne says:

I like this idea of wallpapering the tree. You could wallpaper one side of it, decorate the other side, and leave it up all year round. For most of the year, it would blend into the–umm–wallpaper, and at Christmas you’d just turn it around and it would be ready to go. Not bad!

Personally I prefer the term ‘buffoon’. I use it a great deal, usually about myself.

  6. Lois Keen says:

You could wallpaper the tree with enormous sheets of Dave’s present wrapping instructions.

Since the ABC is a self proclaimed “some kind of idiot” according to Oi magazine interview – is that his tree?

Dave – you missed one. What about the person who “throws” decorations on randomly in the vain hope they will stick? I’ve seen too many of those recently.
