Advent calendars

chocolate

I’m going to repost my 2005 Advent cartoons on the blog this month as lots of people may not have seen them. I had intended to do some new ones, but owing to not having done any I’ve not done any.

Here are some other online advent calendars:

I’m sure there are other creative Advent things going on – feel free to tell me some more links.

There is a sort of Advent calendar available from Audiopot – the source for creative Christian audio (www.audiopot.org).

It is a telling of the Nativity story in the style of the American tv show 24. There are 24 30-second episodes featuring Mary and Joseph, the Magi, the shepherds, Herod and sundry other characters.

Advent24 was produced by GRF Christian Radio based in Glasgow (www.grf.org.uk).

Watch out next week for spots in the style of the M&S food adverts…. This is not just Love, this is God’s love.

Disclaimer: I am a member of the team at GRF – so I’m biased.

The Bible Reading Fellowship one is the same as the Paperless Christmas one, in case anyone’s confused. It just has different doors.

What I’m confused by is that the video for Day 2 appears to be the same as Day 1. Unless they remove them at midnight each day and you can only get the current one. Was difficult to tell if they’re the same in every respect as neither wanted to play properly, even if I paused. There’s a conspiracy against Mac users… (or maybe my computer’s just too old, or my son is downloading another three-film epic.).

The paperless advent calendar from Jerusalem Productions is great. I especially like the picture of the baby being breastfed with Carlsberg on 1 December!
