Gordon Brown and the election

gordon brown and the election

This is the fourth cartoon from the late-running Cartoon Challenge Night series. Thanks to Learnerpriest for causing me to stray into the realms of politics.

By the way, feel free to post any one of these cartoons on your blog. A link back here is appreciated.

Cartoon 5. To be honest I am finding it the most difficult of the five. Watch this space, but keep your expectations low.

Update: I’m afraid cartoon 5 will have to wait for now. I’ll try to do it later this evening or tomorrow. Sorry!

I love this one. It’s light relief from the endless round of largely clueless punters on the news trying to put a probability on when it’ll be held.

It’s also mildly freaky that the last UK general election not to be held on a Thursday was on… Tuesday 27th October. I assume you didn’t know this before you drew your cartoon.

  2. Sarah B says:

That reall does look like Gordon Brown! Well done!

  3. Kate P says:

Fab drawing. All these challege ones have been – you should do it more often. I’m really posting to alert you all to the fact that I’ve just posted on the SPCK thread, having walked back from the shop muttering to myself.

  4. learnerpriest says:

Brilliant, Dave – thanks ever so much. The man’s a genius!

  5. learnerpriest says:

PS – by “the man’s a genius”, I mean Dave Walker, not (necessarily) Gordon Brown …

  6. Howard says:

This is brilliant, if a little too close to PCC meetings.

My favourite of this sort was the man whose only EVER contribution to a PCC meeting was to say something like “well I certainly can’t make that date”.
