The Christian Blog Awards videos

Premier have kindly put various clips of the Christian Blog Award ceremony up on Premier.tv, their TV sort of site. The video of me receiving my award and giving my three sentence speech is here. You’ll need broadband I think.

Dear me. I don’t think I come across very well, but then perhaps no-one thinks that they do. The sunday school gag is a bit lame, so sorry about that. I had to think of something on the spur of the moment. As I said before I also forgot to say thank you to the award organisers and judges, which was a bit lax.

    It’s such an odd thing, hearing and seeing someone I read on a (near) daily basis. It’s a bit like seeing video of an actor who only ever does voice-over work.

    I was rather surprised to discover you exist in 3 dimensions, though , on reflection, I think I should have known that.

    There’s an ill-formed theological point hovering on the tip of my keyboard, but I can’t quite think what it is. It will come to me while I’m writing my next sermon.

    I’m quite touched that on the ‘spur of the moment’ it was those who read your blog and who comment who came to mind first :-)

    of course that’s why you’re the best creative blogger in the world and I’m not, I’m incredibly self-centred but there you are. Oh and I can’t draw.

    My goodness, how rubbish is the Premier TV viewer? Tried to watch it, and got a message telling me it might be unreliable on Macs, and that I’d need to enable cookies in Safari. Firstly, why? Secondly why did I get the message when cookies were enabled anyway? So tried to watch in Firefox, and it’s all stuttery and jerky to the point of being unwatchable. Rebooted into Windows, tried in Firefox, got another message telling me it’d be dodgy only to have it fail again. Finally gave up and used IE, then after fighting through three (count ‘em) security warnings I’m allowed to watch it.

    And why after playing one clip does it chuck me into the middle of some sermon, rather than proceeding logically onto the next award?

    Aside from that, congratulations Dave! Nice to finally see you in full motion colour. And nice that you were a little more concise than some!

    i don’t think the sunday school joke was that bad, good job on that award dave :) i think i shall comment more from now on as i have been following this cartoon blog for quite sometime now.
