We are back from the Greenbelt Festival 2007

post greenbelt

Usually it takes a few days to go through these phases (with the showering being first) but today I have been through all of them.

I have had a splendid time at the Festival and have returned invigorated. This is mainly because of the many friends I have seen and people I have met I think. It was great to see and meet you. I did go to some good sermons and lectures and pop groups too. I will be posting about some of the things I saw and heard and drew at Greenbelt over the next few days although that might depend upon whether I lapse back into one of the earlier phases and if so which one.

The camper van made it and made it back again. This is a wonder to us all.

Feel free to use this cartoon on your blog. A link here would be lovely.

*smile* ah, I do so appreciate cleanliness now I’ve returned.

It was nice to meet you and I hope I didn’t freak you out, because sometimes I can be a bit enthusiastic :) Just wanted to say that I like your cartoons and thought it would be nice to tell you in person, preferably not like a crazed maniac :)

All those surveys you see about which day of the year is the most depressing? I’ve never seen one that’s got it right. The saddest day of the year is the Tuesday after the August bank holiday.

I thew up on Monday night (I think the curry I had disgreed with me a bit.Perhaps this was because I added lager and then jumped up and down a lot causing some strange chemical reaction) so in my post-Greenbelt phase I am looking Green myself, maybe I should wear a belt too. Despite that it was a very very good festival. Hope to see you next year.

Spendid to see you over the weekend, am quite glad to get home and have proper bed, proper bath, proper ale and walls that don’t move.

Glad your campervan made it there and back, Greenbelt would not be the same without that rusty old… I mean, glorious mobile home.

  6. Dave says:

Thanks everyone – great to see you there if I did. If not – another year perhaps.

We borrowed a campervan to take to Greenbelt this year (such luxury!) and had to have the traditional call to the AA on Tuesday to get us going to our holiday to recover. From Heaven in Ordinary to Devon…
