I'm still a bit puzzled about some of the categories:

Most Original Worship Blog: Does that mean most original style of worship (welcome to the Praise Him on the Ukelele Blog) or most original blogging (wow, no one has ever blogged like this before) or most worryingly, most original object of worship (welcome to the Blu-tack Appreciation Website...).

Best Christian Review Site: Surely not, don't judge others and you you won't be judged brothers and sisters. Reviewing each other is surely a violation of this precept, and online too where the heathens can see us and read about our sub-optimal performances.

Most Successful Evangelistic Blog: Actually I've no objection to this one as long as the winner is based on how many 'converts' their blog has. I just think it's unfair that old media evangelism isn't (as far as I know) recognised in the same way. What about those big posters that people put outside churches (instead of boring stuff like when you're allowed in) that always have a really bad pun, normally about driving, on them. I want to know has anyone anywhere ever been even slightly helped in any way by these? Apologies for the slight rant there and the overuse of brackets (throughout).

Chin up, Dave. Jesus, himself, was overlooked in the "Itinerant Preacher Of The Year" Oscars, three years running.

Ditto to Anne's comment - Dave, you are the only blog on the google feed to my Google homepage. If that is not a prize I don't know prizes!

You may not be on the list, but I can tell you from experience that you're a highly popular blogger. My stats spike every time I post a comment on your blog.

That's not WHY I post, of course...MY motives are pure.

Hmm. I have links to a lot of blogs I read. They're at my own blog. Your blog, however, is the only one that boasts a link (and feed) right from my Google homepage. This doesn't constitute an award, but if you combine it with a dollar (or your equivalent in local currency) you might be able to buy a cup of coffee...

You're absolutely right. The idea of Christian bloggers seeking any kind of recognition is just silly. You would never catch me doing that.

Because I blog from Dublin I am automatically disqualified from entering the awards as it is for UK bloggers only. (Apparently the Web is not World Wide after all.)

Anyway, I'm glad I can't enter. I wouldn't want any kind of gimmick to direct people to my blog, preferring instead to 'just pray that God would in some special way direct the browsers of those earnestly seeking to my URL....for his glory.'

Therefore I will not mention the address of my blog (Views from a Coffeehouse - encounters with people, places, books, life and faith over a regular latte) knowing that those who feel led will feel led to click on my name at the end of this comment taking them directly to my blog.

Now, what was that you were saying about a prize, Dave?
