Check the passenger’s head

Telltale signs
1. When a blogger starts to tear paragraphs out of the paper and post them it is a clear sign that they have lost their way, unless of course they did not start out with a clear direction in the first place.

2. When a blogger posts at 23.59 hours it is a sure sign that they have falsified the time so as to give the appearance of daily posting when in fact they have fallen short of their stated ideal.

3. A 23.59 hours posting is also a sign of a lack of inspiration and, in extreme cases, faltering morale.

    Mine is an automatic so this doesn’t really apply to me. When my passengers’ heads are nodding (they only have one each, by the way) it’s because they are listening to their ipods (again, just the one each) so they don’t hear all my questions about how much homework, end of term exam marks, ingredients for food tech tomorrow etc. My passengers are all teenage girls, so I have just sent them the link to “Grace” magazine. don’t think they’ll read it though, cos it hasn’t got Will in it.

    Also, shouldn’t you be looking where you are going when driving?

    How do you tell the difference between and polite passenger who is agreeing with you and poor gear shifts?

    If one looks at the passenger is there a danger of not looking at the Sat Nav or Speedo or cup of coffee (sorry …thats last one is illegal never drink and drive). It can be dangerous not to look at these things.

    Morale sagging…happens to all of us…you keep us sane!

    I think you may need to find yourself a surrogate blogger for a couple of weeks, Dave, to get some time off for good behaviour.

    Come to think of it “ghost-blogging” would be a really useful service for bloggers to buy in – somewhere between ghost-writing and house-sitting.

    “Blog-swapping” could also become a recreational activity for bloggers – rather like a house-swap, or a bit like Second Life. But possibly less interesting. Hmm.

    Dave, let me ghost-blog for you for two weeks, I guarantee you will have no visitors by the end and thus will not need to be so stressed about blogging daily…no? just a thought.

    actually, it’s not a bad idea. perhaps a large group of us – say 14 – did the ghost thing for one day. this would ensure 1) dave got a 2 week vacation, free from responsibility and pressure 2) people would continue to visit the site to see which bobble head was currently blogging and 3) dave would have a great deal of cartooning material as he cleaned up behind us “ghosts” :D

    Thanks for the kind comments. I wasn’t digging for kind comments, though it could look as if I was.

    I feel a bit happier this evening, but I may yet take some time out or at least post on a non-daily basis for a while. I’ll see how things go. Thanks for your support anyhow.
