I met the vicar local to my work - great guy; I spoke at a parish church with 8 people there who sang unacompanied and fantastically well - only a tuning fork to help!. The idea that out there is the possibility every few miles of someone leading a group of christians to be disciples is amazing - and my recent experience suggests that's more how it is now than in the past when anglicans where more the local social club for the prevailing clique. We also have things like 'Odcombe Detached', which is a bit of a rural parish boundary which sneaked off when nobody was looking and took up residence on an industrial estate a couple of miles away.
