Anglican Communion Christmas card competition

christmas card competition

If you want to become a world renowned artist overnight the Anglican Communion can help you. All you have to do is design the official Anglican Christmas card for 2007.

The only slight confusion is that the Anglican Communion website says “please note the request to send a copy, rather than the original artwork”, whereas the poster says “Original artwork only please”.

This is the true test. Anyone who can solve the riddle an produce artwork that is an original but not an original ca win the glittering prize.

How better to show how great the Anglican Communion is….. original artwork only/copies only….

did anyone see ‘The Man Who Sued God’, near the end when the Anglican Primate was in the dock and he was asked if God made the lightning that destory Billy’s boat; “Yes…. and no….”

Unless I’m much mistaken, they want “original” artwork, in that you can’t steal someone else’s existing idea. They don’t want “original” artwork, in that you should send them a copy of your design, not the version you actually drew/painted initially…

Sam – you’re a genius! (Unless, as you say, you’re much mistaken.)

  5. Sam says:

Very kind of you to say so Dave :-)

This is why I love your blog dave – better than the plots in midsomer murders anytime. The paradox has a purpose after all!
