Our cats: Additional supplementary news update bulletin

I have been overwhelmed by the immense level of interest shown in our new cats by those in certain sectors of the internet. People have been e-mailing in, and other people have been writing blog posts about them and everything.

Here are some more pictures:

The answer to a question that a lot of you have on your minds: Yes, we are thinking of home schooling them. Originally I had imagined we might get them up to A level General Studies sort of level, but I think to be honest they are more gifted at practical subjects rather than anything involving too much thought and analysis. Our first lessons have mainly involved a stick with a yellow and green bird on a piece of string.

Sorry not to give you any drawings or anything today. I was suffering from low morale, but am over it now and feel ready to take on the world.

Wait… that purple stick and red string… that looks like a Boingy Thing! It’s one of our cat Riley’s favorite toys.

We’re homeschooling him. If it’s good enough for my sister-in-law’s kids, it’s good enough for my cat.

Yay more cat pics. Keep them coming (and the cartoons)

  3. Ian says:

    Lovely cats.

    Enjoy taking on the world.

Congratulations, Dave – you’ve hit on a sure-fire success ingredient – people go nuts for cats. Similar things happen with kids and dinosaurs. And cats with catnip, in fact.

Enjoy your brush with cat-mania – they’re very cute creatures, by the way. Love the choice of names.

I suspect … (i) there are internet regulations requiring all bloggers to have at least one cat (ii) Cat-police patrol the internet in cybercat detector vans and if they find a cat-less blog, they suspend entries until the offender gets two extremely cute cats and can post lots of pictures of them looking delightful.

  6. Jane Redmont says:

Remember that those of us who have become smitten with your cats are also smitten with your cartoons.

And I think Gretel is right about the internet regulations, though there is a dog faction building over at MadPriest’s ;-) .

Cheers (and thanks for sending visitors my way — I do blog about many non-feline-related matters)

    I know where you live.

Of course readers want to know about your new cats. Some of them may have actually wondering if you’d gotten a replacement for the last lovely creature. Suggestion for home schooling: Procure several cardboard boxes and cut out little windows in sides of some; place them open end to open end in the form of a maze; place small toys in some of them which you can change from time to time. It’s cute when they peer through a window. I read this on about.com/cats.

Nice cat friendship in the pics no 1.

  10. Matt says:

If they are more than 6 weeks old, I should think they could already pass A Level General Studies.

If you were not a stupid human you would realize that these cats are einsteins compared to you and no degree exists that is advanced enough for them. Obviously they have not been there long enough to teach you that as of yet (or they may even be still too young to realize it themselves). Never fear, you will learn this well.
