‘Dave Walker Guide to the Church’ cartoons available for republication

things you will be given

[Larger version]

I have made four of the ‘Dave Walker Guide to the Church’ cartoons available on the internet to be looked at and for licence holders to publish in their church publications. There will be more to come, but not immediately. Sorry it has taken me so long to do this – I know I promised to ages and ages ago.

These cartoons are ones that originally appeared in the Church Times and the Dave Walker Guide to the Church book, published by Canterbury Press.

Please note that I am asking those republishing these particular cartoons to put a special line of text with the image and I’m also requesting that at the moment these cartoons aren’t published on church websites.

The four cartoons are:

You can see all four on the Dave Walker Guide to the Church page of the main site and all of the latest content on the latest content page.

If you like these cartoons you’ll find 70 of my Church Times ‘Guide to the Church’ series in the book. Only £5.99. Terribly reasonable.

arriving at church is great, just sublime.

we arrive early(ish) and our children terrorise said adults who have also arrived early, silly people.

I, naively, used to think that the ‘meeters and greeters’ were just ordinary, friendly ‘regulars’ who happened to arrive a bit before the majority and so took it upon themselves to be civil and welcome people into church. I had to laugh when I realised that there was, in fact, a rota and training for this role! We have one who actually asks new-comers if they’d like to join the cleaning rota! Classic!

    Hi Dave

I’ve just posted your lent cartoon on the Fulcrum website – not sure now if that is ‘allowed’ as I’m a bit confused about the elite status of license holders :-@

If I owe you money let me know….

I’m so excited that you are able to put these cartoons online for license holders — the book is wonderful. I got my (English) mother in law to send it to me for my birthday. I wish there were an American edition!

Hi Dave, picked up a copy off “Guide to the Church” from Bristol’s Wesley Owen – a worthwhile buy!
