Anglican Communion cartoon

anglican communion heading

There is a full page of my cartoons in the Church Times today entitled “The goings-on within the Anglican Communion – the situation summed up using some drawings”. The item is only available to Church Times subscribers – if you are one of those you can see it here.

Feel free to complain about this feature by any of the following means:

Thank you.

  1. Murray says:

You forgot to mention being pelted with scrunched up copies of your cartoons…
as another means of commenting on the toons

  2. Chris says:

    Dave

I didn’t think that anything about our current situation could make me laugh out loud! Thank you!!

  3. MadPriest says:

Murray is right and I worry about the size of injury that a rolled up copy of the “Church Times” could inflict.
Remember, Walker, you have blood on your hands already.

  4. James Clayton says:

So, for those of us who aren’t Church Times subscribers, can it actually be bought anywhere?

  5. Dave says:

James: Something like an SPCK shop should have it. SPCK Bradford Bookshop would be able to put one aside for you I would have thought. I’d give them a call to make sure they’ve got it before travelling though.

  6. Chris Clark says:

I’m quite happy just to imagine how good the cartoons are and giggle quietly to myself. No doubt, in the fulness of time, the cartoons will appear for free here…

  7. Thomas says:

I hope this cartoon will find its way into your next book. So I can see it!

  8. Raspberry Rabbit says:

Could you describe the cartoon for us or give us directions so that we could act it out in front of our computer screens.

  9. Aaron says:

Considering the amount of material you publish here for free we can hardly be cross with you for making, you know, a living at your vocation.

  10. Keith says:

Wow! For the first time in my life I feel priviliged to be one of those who buy the Church Times on a weekly basis. Great cartoon. All credit to the editor for giving you a full page. Did he offer to send you to the conference in Tanzania as well? Hopefully one day I’ll open my Church Times to find your cartoons on every page with just a small panel at the bottom of page 12 with some of the week’s news.

  11. Andrew says:

I have no trouble with having to subscribe to get a feature I want. It’s just that The Church Times offers no on-line subscriptions. So if we can’t get the print edition, we are just out of luck.

Will the cartoon be freed from bondage for the rest of us to see…even if we have to pay?

  12. Sally says:

Wonderful cartoon! Anyone on General Synod should recycle all the huge papers that are to be discussed, and instead use this.

  13. ellen says:

ace cartoon. Congratulations on the fullpage spread. Ps I got my newsagent to get me a copy ofthe church times. But it did mean I was then committed to it. I haven’t found anywhere that stocks it free-range.

  14. David Keen says:

looks like I picked the wrong week to let my CT subscription lapse…
