This comment is intended to be for the assistance of “Gretel” :

Canon B15a of the Church of England “Of the admission to Holy Communion ” says at paragraph b.

“There shall be admitted to the Holy Communion baptized persons who are communicant members of other Churches which subscribe to the doctrine of the Holy Trinity and who are in good standing in their own Church.”

That seems fairly inclusive rather than exclusive ?

In practice I do not think I have ever heard about a case of a person being refused Communion ? – but I am sure someone will put me right !!!

If you Google on Anglican Communion you will soon come to its web site, though I found it fairly uninformative for some arriving for the first time in search of basic info.

Should anyone out there like to email the undersigned for further illumination the full force of his brilliance will be unleashed.

Andrew Hutchison, the Primate of Canada, came to visit Trinity College (Toronto) the other day and had something to say about the Primate’s meeting…but now I’ve forgotten it.

Oh, yes. He remarked that +++Rowan had no place “inviting” ++KJS to the Primate’s meeting. The ABC invites people to Lambeth (because hey, it’s his house) but not to the Primate’s meeting. That’s for all the Primates/PB’s of all the national churches of the Anglican Communion. You go because you’re a Primate, not because you’re invited. It’d be like me inviting you to keep blogging. Very decent of me, eh?

I do so enjoy how we label our clergy…David+ and +Anne and ++Andrew and ++KJS the PB and +++Rowan the ABC. It looks like some bizarre programming code.

You asked for thoughts on the Anglican Communion.
Isn’t that the bit of the Christian Communion that only Anglicans can get into? (perhaps like an enclosure at Aintree). Or is something to do with the fact that while we may be in Christian Communion with Christians of other sorts we may not actually be allowed to take communion with them because there are all sorts of rules and regulations about such things?
[Apologies to anyone who does know what the 'Anglican Communion' means (I don't)....]

I have been doing everything I can possibly think of besides getting my taxes ready to give to my tax guy. I think I have just about run out of things to do and my goal to finish it all up is by the 31st… I better stop blogging.

In the collection at the U2Charist does everyone have to give, or can you withhold it if you’re someone who has moved all their money overseas so as to avoid paying tax at home?
