Really pleased to hear the book is going so well, I have to say the ones we gave away as Christmas presents this year the recipients sat in a corner reading the book and laughing for at least part of the day so very well received!

  2. David says:

Got mine for Christmas, Dave, read it through that day, loved it, laughed alot. Will do a plug over on my site soon and let you know when it’s there. I am trying to decide when I get into ministry whether I leave it in the loo or (should I have some kind of waiting area) in the waiting area outside my study! Either way, I know it will bring laughter and encouragement to all!

p.s. In my experience, a straight reprint doesn’t necessarily need a new ISBN. A new edition, yes, or if there are significant changes that you need to distinguish the two books – but it doesn’t have to be so for a straight reprint. Sounds more like the publisher’s policy to me.

  3. Neil says:

A reprint would not usually mean a new ISBN, I suspect it happened in this case because the book industry is moving from a ten digit system to a 13 digit one, and now your book has one of the brand spanking new numbers instead of the old rusty shorter type.

  4. Paul says:

I’m still waiting for mine – I fell down the gap between the printings. But when it does come I shall enjoy it as an antidote to the grey skies of January.

  5. fishsoup says:

It may be very good as a coffee table book, but we keep ours on a shelf in the loo. Many people have come out chuckling about the crazy church cartoons (most of them not particularly churchy people).

  6. Katie D says:

I’m agreeing with Neil, new ISBN system has come in, over Christmas, while I wasn’t at work, all seem to start 978 and end with a 4 if it is an old book reprinting!
Good sign that a reprint was needed! We’re still stocking it at Christian Book Centre Preston and Lancaster!

  7. Fat Roland says:

I’m the manager of Wesley Owen in Macclesfield. I go to Sanctus 1 and heard about your blog through the Sanctus 1 blog. Without the blogosphere, I probably wouldn’t have been as excited about the book and subsequently raved about it to customers then encouraged other WO shops to stock it. God bless the lovely blogosphere; it’s so… bloggy and spherical.

  8. yay says:

But what about me?! Why can’t I walk into a bookshop and buy it??

Well actually I haven’t tried yet, on the assumption that it’s probably not available here.

    But still!
