The archbish is quite a visual character - wouldn't it be interesting if it was all a disguise? At night he takes off his beard, puts on his thick hairy wig and becomes someone entirely different. Maybe he isn't even welsh and uses a speech-writer. Maybe there isn't just one person, but a collective of method actors who take it in turns. How scary would that be?
