Is Amazon the best/only option for someone living in the US or Canada? I imagine shipping from the UK would make ordering from Waterstones impractical, and I doubt Canterbury Press wants to pay free shipping to Toronto!

  2. Chris Clark says:

Great idea…I’m getting them for all my clergy friends and church-going relations. If any of you read Dave’s blog please act surprised at Christmas…

    Aaron,

I’m not sure how Amazon USA compares with ordering it direct from SCM Canterbury Press. For info their shipping charges are as follows:

    Rest of Europe/Rest of World
Orders up to the value of £15.00 £ 5.00
    £15.01 – £30.00 £ 8.00

So to the USA or Canada: for 1 or 2 copies £5, for 3, 4 or 5 copies £8. Basically it works out a lot less per copy if you can order more than one.

I looked in Aberdeen Waterstones a couple of weekends ago, but didn’t see it. I didn’t ask either as I was in a hurry and there was a queue. I hope to visit Waterstones in Eastbourne this weekend (perhaps I’m aiming for the extremes in Waterstones shopping over the period of a month?), so will let you know if it’s still easily spotted…

  5. Bimble says:

a little bit of pre-Christmas advertising do we have here??? Just incase some of us forgot you had a book out… ;o)

  6. Tessa says:

You’ll be glad to know that Waterstone’s Piccadilly still has it prominently displayed in the ‘Local Recommends’ bay by the till at the front of the store. In the last month or so, we’ve sold on average between 3 and 6 copies a week, and have had to reorder stock once already! I’m dead chuffed with how well it’s selling, although on a scale of ’1 to chuffed’, I suspect you’re nearer ‘chuffed’ than I am.

  7. Karin says:

I bought one from my church on Sunday. They’d had an SPCK bookstall at their fete on Saturday.
