The Rough Guide to dull blogging

I got a copy of The Rough Guide to Blogging (not an affilliate link as I have given up on Amazon) out of the library to see whether I have been missing the point all along.

I was pleased to see that my dullest blog in the world is mentioned and in fact shown. It is in a section called ‘Blogorrhea’.

rough guide

As an aside the dullest blog is also used as an example in ‘Buzz Marketing with Blogs for Dummies (For Dummies) (Paperback)(not an affilliate link as I have given up on Amazon)

I am thinking of restarting the dullest blog actually. I have said that about twice in the past but this time I am saying it with intent.

I wouldn’t bother restarting it, I always thought it was boring…

  2. MadPriest says:

Never say “I am thinking of starting” something. This is not necessary. Either start it or don’t start it. (see above)

  3. bimble says:

It had stopped?? I thought this was just a pause between posts!!!

hey dave… why have you given up on Amazon?
…and i kind of like the dullest blog in the world… if you were to restart, you could comment on tape-hunting, un-sharp scissors, and paperclip counting. actually, you know Bert, from Sesame Street? that’s truly right up his alley…
    :)

  5. Chris says:

Dave, restart it. I think it will be even better than before, because I firmly believe you’re even more dull than you were two years ago.

    Yes, that’s a compliment. Of sorts ;0)

  6. Farli says:

I had assumed that the silence on the dullest blog in the world was a deliberate demonstration of another aspect of dull.

If, however, something new is happening in the world of dull, then I will look forward to hearing about it.

Congratulations for getting such quality mentions — it takes inspired creativity to be included in such commercial works. :)

  8. Jon Y says:

I was a huge fan of the original, can you pull off a successful sequel? Could you actually be…duller?

Thanks for checking the book out.
