Telling the truth

telling the truth

This is a scribble from my initial attempts at drawing with a graphics tablet. It looks mildly better than something drawn with a mouse, but not greatly so.

For information I usually draw everything witha pen on sheets of paper, then scan them and edit them on the computer before uploading them or sending them off or whatever. A lot of cartoonists use a graphics tablet for everything and never pick up a pen at all. Noel Ford, my fellow Church Times cartoonist, is one such example. To see what cartoons drawn on a graphics tablet should look like go and have a look at his site.

For now I’m sticking with my old fashioned methods for the paid work that I do, but I’ll be practicing using the tablet. I might post some of the odd experimental results here.

I assume the Graphics Tablet is a new form of the newspaper from our Roman Catholic friends?

Cracker. I like the style the tablet gives to your work :-)

Persevere with the tablet (or should I say keep taking the tablets?) – I’d guess that with enough practice you’ll be able to draw as well with it as on paper and it’ll need less post-processing. (I’m speaking as someone who professionally has to write on several different media).

    Keep taking the tablets!

I think this is all to much for me to take in from the man who swore to me that the pen would see the demise of the computer.

Nothing techie or helpful to add, except I like the cartoon :)

Graphics tablet? A bitter pill to swallow?

    (sorry, couldn’t resist!)

I like the cartoon, reminiscent of a scene in court perhaps, rather than a church?
