Struggle as I have not to give constructive advise I am unable to resist saying, don't resist any creative impulse that you may have; i.e., if you want to substitute a cucumber or eggplant (marvellous subject with its color and shape) for anything, just do it. And if you want to change the color or size of the bottle, it's your prerogative. Is it OK that I said that? I hope that you continue to enjoy your class, at least it sounds like you do. I assume the bottle was whisky so it came from a still? Nobody looks that happy and one artist is definitely scribbling. I have nothing against scribbling or whatever they want to do but I am concerned they may not get the most out of the course. I have never understood still life.
