Evangelistic frisbee competition

I have an evangelistic frisbee. This is a picture of me and the frisbee taken when Maddie_C and my sister and I were playing the aforementioned game at a campsite during the summer.

evangelistic frisbee

But where is the frisbee? The person who can, using their skill and judgement, spot the frisbee will win it. Post your guess as to which yellow disc is hiding the frisbee in the comments and it could be yours.

I will post a picture of the frisbee showing its evangelistic nature over the weekend. The competition closes at the end of this Sunday (10th September I think) on a British Summer Time basis. In the event of more than one person getting the right answer I will pick a correct answerer at random using a blindfold and a pointy finger.

I’d be happy to draw something on the reverse of the frisbee using a permanent marker to make it into a valuable collector’s item. Perhaps a cartoon of the winner’s choice.

After you have entered you can learn more about doing advanced frisbee moves similar to the one I am demonstrating in the photo on this page.

the serious nature of me actually really really wanting to ‘win’ aforementioned evangelistic frisbee with tantalising properly real and original ‘dave walker’ cartoon, prevents me from putting a silly answer like ’10′ as my guess.

    So I guess no. 1.

still think it might be 10, because you’re being ‘silly’ and showing what you should have been doing when EF was actually already ‘grounded’………..

  2. James says:

    I’ll go for a number 5

  3. phil goodacre says:

    10

  4. Sally says:

I’ll go for 5 as well.
Bet you didn’t catch it though.

  5. Nicthevic says:

Put me down for number 1

  6. Karin says:

    Disc 2

  7. Richard says:

I would say 2 aswell but as Karin has said 2 already then I will go for 7

  8. Jack the Lass says:

If I’d thrown it, it would have been #10.

However, I didn’t. But I’m going to go for #10 anyway, in the hope that it’s a trick question.

  9. Sarah says:

I’m going for no. 1 as well.

  10. Simon says:

    It’s definitely No.4.

  11. Farli says:

Well, 5 is the obvious answer, 10 is the obvious trick answer, but they have both gone, so I will go with 3 as the wide outsider.

  12. Michelle says:

    I reckon it’s number 1.

  13. Ian says:

I thought number #2 with Karin, but I’ll take an outside chance with #7.

  14. Rain says:

I’m going for number #2 …hope you caught it :)

  15. Steve says:

Hmmm. I think number 1, though that’s a ‘blindfold and pointy finger’ job now.

Thanks for the link, my flying gitis are coming along a treat

  16. johnny brooks says:

    Number 1

  17. Chris Clark says:

I have to go for 10. I have seen many spot the frisbee competions and it seems Mr Walker knows that with double regflex spin type 2.5 the frisbee seems to be on the ground and then will soar in the air. The action is of a man practising for Spring Harvest next year?

  18. Lizzie says:

It has to be number nine. This is based on my theory that you’ve successfully caught the EF, placed it carefully on the ground, and were snapped in the midst of a joyous dance of victory. It’s what I would have done.

  19. ben says:

it’s number 1! I’m sure about it. I want a cartoon on the frizbee if I win.

  20. Ali says:

    Surely it’s 4?

  21. Chris John says:

    Number 3

  22. David Weaver says:

I’m guessing number 8 cos I don’t think anyone else has said 8 yet. I’m guessing it hit you hard in the ribs and you’ve thrown your arms up in pain and anguish. If i’m wrong let me know

  23. Andy says:

    Number 9 :-)

  24. Emma says:

I think it’s number 9 too. My friend has a similar picture of a group playing with a boomerang and with the boomerang at her feet (fool)!

  25. Neil says:

As an expert frisbee player I do have to say 1 on this one.

  26. Rain says:

everyone has made some very vaild, logical arguments – may i change my answer? Lizzie got me thinking… No, no, wait a minute. It’s totally #2.

  27. Sarah B says:

I’ll go for no 7 – well no1 else has for a start! Phil going for number 10 clearly has a low opinion of your abilities!! What a meanie!

    So _DID_ you catch it?

  28. Nefertiki says:

No. 4 seems obvious to me, but I think it slipped right through his fingers.

I don’t really think he was playing with a frisbee (invented in New Haven CT by Yale U. students playing with pie tins from the Frisbie Pie Co.). No I think Maddie_C saw the photo, said it looked as though Dave was trying to catch a frisbie. What he was really doing was an anti rain dance such as were done by American Indians in dry spells. Only Dave performed it backwards, successfully, I believe, as can be seen from the rain clouds clearning up.

  29. Johann says:

    Obviously number 8

  30. Nathan says:

it has got to be 1!

  31. Richard Hall says:

No. 7, without question. If it isn’t, it should be.

  32. Dave says:

    ** Competition Closed **
Thanks for all the entries. I’ll announce the answer and the winner mid to late morning tomorrow if that is ok. I’ve got some deadlines to meet and today hasn’t been the best of days. Apologies for being slow.

  33. phil goodacre says:

tis not that i have a low opinion of you frisbee catching abilities, rather i have a high opinion of you acting abilities…..

  34. Sarah B says:

good come back or nice try! ;oP

  35. simon says:
