Holiday photograph 4

parking infringement

It pleases me that it is possible for a driver to commit a parking infringement on three sides and therefore perhaps get three simultaneous parking tickets.

I realise that this may not have pleased the driver and may be uninteresting for those reading. I am fully expecting a 2-3% drop in subscribers to this blog as a result.

The driver also appears to have left his headlights on.

Just to add insult to injury.

  2. MadPriest says:

This is one of those rare occasions where you wish you had a tin of yellow paint with you, so you could complete the four sides and then hide and wait to see the look on the driver’s (and traffic warden’s) faces when they return.

It’s a shame the world is not as surealistic as our minds can be.

I’ve always thought they painted those lines with a bush on the side of a big lorry, like a road sweeper arrangement. That must have taken some nifty manouvering.

And Joe, How can you tell teh headlights are on?

  4. Penny says:

I can’t help wondering whether you could park legally in that space if only one side had double yellow lines. You could have fun discussing whether parking a whole foot away from a yellow line meant you weren’t parked on it.

  5. Chas says:

It does beg the question – what is the space for, if not for parking in?

  6. Chris Clark says:

It’s a good question Chas. Could it be one of those rare occasions when it’s done for the good of the parker (parkee?) … you could get trapped while other shoppers persue bargains in a leisurely manner…only a thought…perhaps a new dotted yellow line indicating you park at your own rixk is needed..

I was thinking the same thing Chas!
