At Greenbelt 2006

We are at Greenbelt and all is going well. Just to say that our little gathering is now a tiny bit later on Sunday afternoon, ie at 4.30pm on our little bit of campsite 9 under the ‘W’ flag. We plan to be there until about 7pm, so do come along even if it is for just some of the time. Anyone reading is welcome.

I’ve also seen the book for the first time this evening and signed a few copies. All terribly exciting.

Great to hear about the book! Looking forward to getting a copy.

Hope your Sunday gathering goes well. Sorry I can’t be there.

  2. Sam says:

    Hey Dave

I know you like to be able to put a name to a face when it comes to people who read your blog, so hi. I’m one of the people you signed a book for. Yes, I know there were a lot, but I was one of the first & I’m the guy who knows Tim W.

Anyway, hope the wibmeet went well, sorry I couldn’t make it.

  3. Sally says:

Sorry not to find your campervan – the huge campsite disappearing into the distance made me think of a VW in a haystack, so I lay on the grass and listened to Palestinian music instead. Next year please make the W flag enormous, or at least visible from Panoramic floor.
The (signed) book is wonderful, and I couldn’t resist finding favourites such as two ways to say the Grace, even though it was 2am when we got home to Bristol. Hope they all sell out!

  4. Ruth says:

Ah, you’re back – and I hadn’t realised (I don’t do bloglines or anything clever like that). I’ve missed your blog! I hope all’s well.

  5. Ruth says:

Ruth’s Brainwave (#345): I’ve just had an idea?! Why not somehow sign your name onto your blog so that those of us who can’t get to see you for a book signing can somehow print it off and stick it into our copy if the book? No…?

  6. Larry Day says:

Got a signed copy of the wonderful book from the Church Times yurt on Friday. Saw you in the distance at the food stalls but was too shy to disturb your meal :-)

Hope you both had a wonderful Greenbelt. Sorry to have missed you at the W-flag place.

    Hi there,
I got your book at greenbelt… Although I did see your Official Wibsite Encampment, It just didn’t seem particularly British/ Anglican to loiter around and pester you into signing it for me…

But I am very pleased with my purchase, as I was, in fact, with greenbelt in its entirity :o )

  8. Emma says:

Indeed! I signed up to the church times and got a free book :) made me a happy lady! Though unsigned :( unlucky.

  9. Kathryn says:

Sorry to have missed you…Hope you had a wonderful Festival, and that book sales were good (I was forbidden by offspring from purchasing a copy, which I suspect means I have something to look forward to for Christmas…They often buy my presents at GB).

  10. Helen says:

Ah, so there was a change in plans… Bah, I kept meaning to come over to your camp site and say hi but never made it (OK, I’m kinda shy *blush*). Think you might have met my friend Rachel though.

  11. Emma ( a different one!) says:

    Hehe -

I signed up for the church times as i was going to buy The Book anyway. But she had to search for an unsigned one as I wanted to get Dave to sign it himself…

(hmm not that im suggesting the otehrs were all autosigned or signed for him – although that would be an interesting new career for me. hmmmm)

  12. Michelle says:

I got the book at Greenbelt – and excellent it is too! (Shame I couldn’t get it signed – was going to wander to the get-together but didn’t manage it in the end).
Anyway, hope you’re well chuffed with it?

  13. Rob says:

    Good Festival:
I have a signed copy of The Book!

    Bad Festival:
Whenever I visited the Yurt, Dave wasn’t there.

    Strange Festival:
Why were Church Times in a yurt anyway?
