Hope it sells like hot cakes!

    Dave,

I am willing to paid to queue to buy your book at greenbelt.

I hope it tastes like hot cakes
(I never eat properly at Greenbelt).

    Hello Dave!

I am new to commenting on your blog, though I do pop by quite frequently to see what nuggets of wisdom you are currently imparting. You and I met very briefly at the CRE back in May, when Ian MacDonald arrived with a friend (me), to give out postcards so that you could have a tea break!

Anyway, the reason I’m commenting now is to tell you that, in my capacity as a bookseller at Waterstone’s Piccadilly, I am going to recommend your book, which means they have to order it in and display it in a fairly prominent position at the front of the store. (I do hope all those noisy tourists will appreciate it as much as the rest of us.) Congratulations on being a (nearly) published author-y type – I hope they sell like hot cakes too!

In searching for your book on our database (I don’t have very much to do at work, so this sort of search always adds amusement to the day), you might be interested to know that other titles written or edited by Dave Walker include: ‘Engine Management: Optimising Carburettors, Fuel Injection and Ignition Systems’, ‘”Hello, my Big Big Honey”: Letters to Bangkok Bar Girls and Their Revealing Interviews’ (er, yes…), and ‘Wordsworth and Coleridge – Tour of the Lake District, 1799′. That really is versatility at its literary best.

    Tessa.
