Depression / elation

Various news:

These days when asked I describe my occupation as ‘Looking for cardboard boxes, packing things in cardboard boxes, moving cardboard boxes, unpacking things from cardboard boxes and other cardboard box-related duties”.

I am now only about three years behind on my personal and e-mail correspondence. Those who wrote to me during July 2003 might just discover that this is their lucky month. This is a roundabout way of apologising for the fact that I have not replied to some e-mails.

Yesterday I went to Eastbourne to meet up with my best man so that we could do a little bit of clothes shopping. That’s what men do these days. That and talk about circular saws and other woodworking paraphernalia. The wedding is now getting really quite close. I have not posted many details on the blog as you will have noticed, mainly owning to the fact that my fiancee aims to keep her offline identity a secret whilst my occupation means that it is in my interest to broadcast my identity far and wide. But lets just say that the number of fingers needed to count the weeks is similar to the number one might use to eat one or more potato crisps. Depending of course upon the manner in which one eats ones potato crisps.

Mundane, tediously routine and frightened lives are wasted rumaging around in the small cafe.

The journey up and down the slopes is not for the feint hearted. There you really come alive. Its a kind of extreme sport :-)

when you say potato crisps, does that include hula hoops because that could take 10 fingers assuming you cannot resist the compulsion to put a hoop on each finger…

I always thought that the Long Dark Night of the Soul should have a Horlicks in it somewhere.
