The Convent

A group of ordinary women are given an extraordinary opportunity to spend 40 days and 40 nights living with nuns for a new BBC TWO series, The Convent.

Broadcast from Wednesday 14 June 2006, the series follows four women on a unique spiritual journey to discover if the nuns’ traditional religious values can help them to tackle contemporary problems of relationships, achievement, self-esteem, and meaning in their lives.

Following the success of The Monastery the BBC are showing The Convent.

It will be similar to the Monastery, but for women. That is my understanding of the situation.

On wednesday 7th there is also a follow-up programme to The Monastery, showing the 5 blokes who took part and what has happened to them since. Should be good.

I was on a BAP with one of them. As you can imagine, we discussed the monastic life. A lot.
