Lost button

lost button

Drawn in 1997. Inspired by ‘the notices’ at large Christian gatherings.

I am thinking we should go to the Spring Harvest Christian Conference next year. I know, I know. For some reading that will be your idea of a nightmare. For others reading that will be your idea of a good idea. But for whatever reasons the idea appeals. Anyone else going? We could get next door chalets*.

*Unless you are a bit odd in which case, sorry, we are going a different week.

I don’t think I could do it again to be honest, too tiring and wasn’t in the mood. How can you tell 10 months in advance if you are going to be in the mood? You can’t.

Is Dave turning over to the dark side?

  2. Tiffer says:

Ok well having said that we might well be going anyway! If we go at all it would be minehead week 3.

  3. Kristen (Thoughts from the Bus Stop) says:

Have I missed something? Is Spring Harvest considered desperately unhip / a corporate nasty?

This year was my first trip to SH (Minehead). I think I’d go again, maybe next year if a bunch of my mates were going.

    Hi Kristen,

No, Spring Harvest isn’t unhip or a corporate nasty. Well, not in my eyes. Though given the wide variety of faith-backgrounds (for want of a better phrase) of the readers here there would be some people who would find the evangelical ethos not to their liking. I’ve had a great time the times I’ve been, but I have found things I’ve struggled with at large Christian events in recent years. That said I’m seriously considering giving it another go.

No, not just for cartoon ideas. Who suggested that?
