I had to fearfully climb many steps just like the ones in the cartoon to reach the high altar of the Pyramid of the Sun in Mexico, and yes, I wished for an elevator or escalator. Descending is even worse.
I apologize for the split infinitive but am hoping it’s allowed in these chaotic and iconoclastic times.
