Pulpit crimes cruise

Don’t ask me how I found this. This November readers in Florida will have the opportunity to go on a cruise entitled “Pulpit Crimes – The Criminal Mishandling of God’s Word”.

(Cartoon included to dispel the myth that any sort of drawing ability is required to be a cartoonist)

Cruise delegates get to visit such exotic locations as the Cayman Islands, Jamaica, and Mexico whilst pondering various exegetical abominations during the evening talks. Some of the pulpit crimes listed on the site as topics for the cruise include “Felonious Eisegesis” “Pulpit Fiction”, “Tradition Trafficking”, “Impersonating a Preacher” and “Where Are the Cops?”

I’m sure we can think of some better pulpit crimes though. Any thoughts?

I’m glad they have speakers who are so adept at saving the world from the horrors of … *gasp* Roman Catholicism and historical revisionism!

Also, the musician guy’s career “has taken him to perform for The Royal Family in England to soup kitchen lines in Haiti.” Is it just me, or does that sound like the Royal family sent him far, far away?
