5 links

I’ve been speaking to the government in Southend this morning. Hence no time for cartoons, but here are some links I’ve found over the last few days:

The Dilbert Blog: Non Prophet Organization
Dilbert creator Scott Adams wants to know why Christians don’t become Muslims. How do we choose which prophets to believe?

Cut N Spray » Maya’s good friday
Great stencil art on a church door, found via Jonny Baker. Contains strong language.

Nouslife: Alcohol and depression
Andii has thoughts on why alcohol isn’t great as a depression remedy.

Map Gallery of Religion in the United States
These maps of religions in the USA have been floating around a few blogs for a week or two now. See religious adherents and church bodies in particular. Fascinating.

TallSkinnyKiwi: Emerjeans
“Its a good idea . . . but a little on the sexist side – what about the men?”

At first I thought “5 Links” was a golfing blog but clicked on it anyway. It offers some very intresting reading, especially the comments on the Dilbert Blog. I will be returning to read any I missed. By the way I thought I had learned to spell Koran as Quran, but then in another comment it is spelled Q’uran. Is there a correct spelling of transliterated word from Arabic? I suppose it would be the spelling approved by The Times.

I’m more interested to know what the government was doing in Southend. All out on a day trip from the House? Was the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries sampling cockles at Leigh-on-Sea?
