Just what cartoon fanciers fancy – and the cartoon standardistas as well – a set of standards which can be used to express our appreciation of cartoons and rate their quality. e.g.:

    The Sprectum of cartoon quality
    Rating: Fantistic

    The system works!

Thanks Dave – now adjectives can be quantitive as well as just qualitative.

There’s a twist at the bottom end of the scale – is there not a twist at the top end too? Where cartoons are too good to be good cartoons, and become something else again?

  3. Rob says:

You mean in a Leonardo DaVinci kind of way?

  4. Nefertiki says:

Sam, I like your concept of ‘twist at the top…where cartoons become something else again’– this is provocative and has the ring of truth. But to me, Sam, not like Da Vinci as I find him unqualifiable. More like Empedocles perhaps. But yes, like da vinci in that there’s so much more than meets the eye.
