Free parsnip images

I have been overwhelmed by the interest shown in my parsnip post. Some superb-looking recipes. Thank you. Usually (looking down my list of blog posts) I have to do something like announce I am getting married to get so many comments.

With this level of interest it is clear that parsnips are a subject upon which many of you hold an opinion and one that you are not ashamed to make known to the world. I’ve therefore posted some free parsnip images below the fold that you’d be most welcome to use on your blogs.

Thanks to Maggi for raising awareness of my parsnip plight on her top Anglican blog. [By the way, I assume you saw her post ‘Top Ten Reasons Why Men Should Not Be Ordained‘. I thought you had.]

Click ‘read the rest of this entry’ for the parsnip images along with code you can paste in.

(I’ve put code under each of these which you are welcome to use, though if you wanted to save the image onto your webspace that is great too. Do whatever you want with them. Links back here are always appreciated.)

You may already be more obsessed with parsnips than is healthy for any reasoable human being BUT….

    You’re getting married again!!! Congratulations.

You want to make this into an online quiz. Everyone loves online quizzes!

  4. Judah says:

    Oh, an online quiz ????
I’ve got one up on my blog at the moment. It’s been there for the best part of a week because I haven’t thought what to write next. I’ve no idea how popular it is because people can seem rather shy (or too polite) about leaving comments.

Well, I hope Dave isn’t marrying his parsnips…

  5. Dave says:

Jonny. Thank you for causing amusement.

Note to readers: Jonny was making a joke. He is not a voice from my past come back to haunt me.

If any voices from my past would like to come back to haunt me please do it privately. Thankyou.

I keep thinking about the Parsnip Ice cream idea, there is a part of me that thinks it might work, I have an ice cream maker I might have to try it, but I am wondering if it needs to be parsnip and…? Or just parsnip. I have seen someone make cucumber ice cream before!

  7. Sarah H says:

    Simo,

The chef at The Fat Duck at Bray does weird stuff like savoury icecream like egg and bacon or something and mustard.

Apple and parsnip would be possible but you could try curried parsnip icecream or maybe parsnip and chocolate might be more adventurous!!!

Dave - sorry to take over your blog!! ;oP

  8. Dave says:

Sarah - it really is ok. We tried to go to Bray once (when it was a bit less famous) to eat but there was unsurprisingly no-where which would take us. Just as well really given the prices. I think the doormen saw the campervan.
