Cat

Every blogger gets around to posting a picture of the cat eventually.

cat

Her head is, as you can see, slightly larger than mine. I am glad to say that she is a bit better than she was at Christmas when, you may remember, she was quite ill and so we couldn’t go away.

Recently she has developed a taste for Lidl catfood over and above every other make. The supermeat rather than the ‘in gravy’. Neither of us normally shop at Lidl, so please don’t ask how we found this out.

Oh dear. I don’t have a cat. I may need to borrow yours when it comes to posting the obligatory photo. I’d hate for my blog to be deficient in such a vital area (particularly as it is so groundbreaking in every other :D ).

  2. nessa says:

i thouroughly aprove of posting cat pictures :-) )

  3. Miffy says:

You have my definite approval, too! BTW is she a viking cat?

  4. Tiffer says:

    Which one’s the cat?

  5. Ben Gallagher says:

Does it have to be a cat? I find that a sheep can have the same effect.

  6. Paul says:

I have only just begun my blog and have no plans to post a picture of my cats.

Although you’re probably right, in the end it’s just a matter of time.

  7. Nefertiki says:

What Nessa says, ditto. Posting one’s cat’s picture can be the start of something big. (I’m temporarily out of holy wedlock advice, so here’s some career advice.)

I just read of a playwright whose “mews” is his cat, Beverly (not my pun) who has inspired a play now running off-Broadway in NYC called “Indoor/outdoor”. It’s described in the NY Post as a romantic comedy. I’m not suggesting that you write a play unless you want to, but rather that you consider a graphic novel, prhaps illustrating your philosophy or the history of the world or something with cats representing, say, members of Parliament (and everybody else).

Remember, folks, you saw it here first!

  8. Miffy says:

Yup. Definitely a viking cat. His name’s not Eric, by any chance?

  9. Miffy says:

    Oops, sorry! Erica.

  10. Maddie says:

Miffy, I’m afraid I don’t know much about my cat – despite having her for about 8 years. Having done a bit of a ‘google’ is it the fluffy collar type thing that would make her a viking cat? Is Norwegian forest cat another name for the same thing?

  11. Miffy says:

Maddie, Yes. From where I am she has a distinct look of a viking (ess) Norwegian Forest Cat.
