We got shot of two serviceable bicycles that we could not dispose of by conventional advertising. The interesting part is the way in which people put up their "wants" - and seem to get their heart's desires. I think I would be too embarrassed to do what they do. Ho Hum. Does anybody use Freecycle ?

I joined the Manchester group last year, and within a week, was the proud owner of six pre-loved demijohns. It's a great idea and there is a huge variety of stuff that passes through the network each day. It's been said that it takes stuff away from charity shops: but then there are some things they can't handle (demijohns being but one example) and this fits a nice niche for stuff that would otherwise probably be thrown out.
