Si Smith’s ’40′

There’s a new interview with Si Smith about his 40* comic series depicting Christ in the wilderness which I’ve mentioned once or twice here on the blog in the past. Like me Si includes Stanley Spencer as one of his influences.

As Jonny Baker says, this could be a useful Lent resource. You can buy a disk from Si directly (details at the bottom of the interview) or from Proost.

Talking of Si, I plan to give away some copies of issue 2 of ‘Porpoise’ magazine next week in a little competition, so stay tuned. It features a cartoon of mine which, at the time of writing, is unavailable anywhere else.

*The link is quite slow on dial-up. Just so you know. It really is well worth buying the disk.
