A spring in my step

I have today a spring in my footsteps. I am moving around the house with a bounce in my stride. Those who observe me might go as far as to even perceive a lightness in my being.

This is because I bought some new highly cushioned slippers from the Tesco supermarket. Size 9 to 11 in the black. £2.

One Response to “A spring in my step”

  1. Nefertiki says:

Excellent taste in footwear, Dave. I am very interested in the strange effect they cause of actual or perceived lightness and if it can be measured.

Now, would you please try the following experiment:

    1. Step onto a scale or any weight-registering device, with bare feet. Carefully record your weight.

    2. Step into your lovely new slippers, then step back on the scale. Carefully record your weight. Please report to your readers on this site whether there is any difference in your weight before or after.

You do not have to report your actual weight, and some of us don’t understand that “stone” thing anyway. For the sake of science it would help to have an independent witness initial the results.

Please complete this request at your convenience but don’t take too long as I am on pins and needles to know the result.
