Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve welcomed 150 people, including 20-30 teenagers. Plus, interesting, people only really started to come after the cameras had left - no Songs of Praise new-hat syndrome there, then! The final programme left me wanting to know what happened the next week. It's all very well having special celebration services with celebraty guests but if the only thing you serve up next week is 1662 Prayer Book communion with 'Hymns, Ancient and Victorian' it ain't gonna work. We (Christians and/or established churchgoers) need to accept long-term change to the way we 'do' church and as someone said in last weeks blog - 'Christians don't 'do' change!'. Just found your site while googling for Priest Idol – I’ll be a regular visitor now.
